About the Author - The Dragoneers

C. D. Sutherland was born in Martinsville, Virginia, to the son of a coal-miner's son, who escaped the Appalachian coal-mines by joining the U.S. military. After some typical military-family moving around, his family settled in Hopewell, Virginia for 10 years.

After graduating from high school, he served in the Air Force for thirty-two years, seeing much of the world and doing things most men have only dreamed about doing. After retiring from the Air Force, he served as contractor helping the Air Force reorganize their strategic forces for maximum effectiveness. His 2011 debut novel "The Dragoneers: The Chronicles of Susah: Book One" is the first of eleven books he has planned for his readers.
